Made this one on xmas eve-eve in my in laws pool room :) Wasn't sure how this was going to come out as it was my first hefe, as the name suggests. This was a mash is a bag (or in a pot really) with 11lbs of grain, and I had some Wheat LME on hand to account for the assumed bad mash. Eff was about 40% so with the extract it came in at 1.050 spot-on target. Fermented at 63 for 2w, crashed, racked with a cup of gunk. I used Irish moss, so it came out fairly clear. Next time I'd do without the moss. Came out great! Clove with a touch of banana, perfect color!

Turkey Dripping Red - Nov 2010

Borrowed a friends pot and burner just after thanks giving. They had deep fried a turkey just a few days before, so the pot came pre-flavored! After PWB-ing the lot, I made a simple extract red with some steeped specialty grains. Came out nice, smooth, and malty.

Black Kingston Cider - Oct 2010

5g batch of cider from pure NW locally grown kingston black apples. Added some DAP & reserved 1/2 gallon to back sweeten, but I never ended up using it! Came out semi-tart, and I liked it just the way it was!
